National Cancer Institute - The federal government’s principle agency for cancer research and training.

Surviving Breast Cancer - My favorite resource I’ve found so far. I’ve found an amazing virtual support group through them. They are a great resource for folks with breast cancer and their caregivers/loved ones. There’s a podcast by them also called Breast Cancer Conversations where they speak with medical professionals, patient advocates, caregivers, and everyone in between. It’s a great place for me to send people for easy to understand descriptions of what’s going on inside my body.

Free Services - There are TONS of financial assistance/scholarship programs out there. Don’t hesitate to get screened because money might be tight. Talk to people, talk to your doctors about your situation, reach out to people. Get the help you need to get the help you need.

Wigs for Kids - Where I’m choosing to donate my hair. You can provide as little as 8” of hair.

Donate Life - Interesting in donating organs, eyes or tissues after you die? My dad donated his eyes, and I plan on donating whatever they’ll take. It’s best to register for things like this ahead of time and give your caregivers the paperwork of who to contact after you pass. They need to be notified ASAP because your body needs to be preserved a special way to insure your donations stay viable.
